Healthy Banana Smoothie
I was looking for a way to use some of the bananas we have at home, in a more-or-less healthy way (banana bread, banana bundt cake, anything that says ‘cake’ excluded haha), when I stumbled upon this smoothie recipe that perfectly fit the available ingredients at home and both me and my Mr’s likings. Also the honey and lemon I believe help cure the remnants of our flu!
Healthy Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 bananas
ice
1 cup milk OR vanilla yogurt
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp honey
Preparation:
Pour all ingredients in blender pouring ice in last. Blend well and enjoy π With only 3 ice cubes added, we got about 600ml (20-21 oz) smoothie (pictured half… yup, slurping started before the camera appeared!)

Great way to use up those stray bananas. The lemon & honey are perfect – have you chased this bug away completely yet?
I’m on it!! Overdosing myself with delicious smoothies, yumyum!
I love a smoothie! I wish I had a blender. π
I believe you can find inexpensive – basic – ones too, We don’t have an overcomplicated one, it has 2 speeds, that’s it! Giving it a good use when there are fruits around π
Never thought of using lemon juice in my banana smoothies … what a great idea! Can’t wait to try it! π
You will love it I hope π Actually I think it even stopped the smoothie from browning.
I’ll have to try lemon in it! I also like to put vanilla bean powder or vanilla extract!
Mmh that also sounds great! Or even vanilla flavour yoghurt…
