Healthy Banana Smoothie

I was looking for a way to use some of the bananas we have at home, in a more-or-less healthy way (banana bread, banana bundt cake, anything that says ‘cake’ excluded haha), when I stumbled upon this smoothie recipe that perfectly fit the available ingredients at home and both me and my Mr’s likings. Also the honey and lemon I believe help cure the remnants of our flu!

Ingredients:

2 bananas
ice
1 cup milk OR vanilla yogurt
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp honey

Preparation:

Pour all ingredients in blender pouring ice in last. Blend well and enjoy πŸ™‚ With only 3 ice cubes added, we got about 600ml (20-21 oz) smoothie (pictured half… yup, slurping started before the camera appeared!)

    I love a smoothie! I wish I had a blender. πŸ™‚

    • I believe you can find inexpensive – basic – ones too, We don’t have an overcomplicated one, it has 2 speeds, that’s it! Giving it a good use when there are fruits around πŸ™‚

    I’ll have to try lemon in it! I also like to put vanilla bean powder or vanilla extract!
