Eating our way around Las Palmas, Gran Canaria – Part 1

Following our few days’ visit to Barcelona, the airplane dropped us in Las Palmas, capital city of the Canary Islands. I’ve been here many times and never get bored of the climate – always Spring here, not much rain, and almost always sunny on the Southern part of the island. You can also find great places to eat – not only the well known Tapas bites but also restaurants with complete menus and dishes. In one of the many restaurants of the North we had a delicious zucchini and mushroom risotto and (some kind of local) fish, prepared on the grill in one piece, with colorful veggies:

Once you are in Spain you must have a good (ideally home made) seafood paella:

You can also have it in a local food stand but it will taste different 🙂 Row of traditional dishes and salads:

Of course there is always ice cream

and ham!

Part 2 coming up 🙂

  2. “always spring, not much rain…” As I’m listening to sleet bounce off my skylights…sigh. How I wish I could transport myself there right now.
