Cake of Hungary Award 2013
Click here for last year’s winners!
It is that time of the year again 🙂 20th of August, a Hungarian national holiday, day of the foundation of the state, day of planes flying below the Chain Bridge of Budapest and some spectacular fireworks when the night falls. Part of the festivities is selecting the cake(s) of the year, 1 “normal” and one sugar-free.

Unfortunately I did not have the chance to taste them yet but the red currant one definitely looks like my kind of cake! I have to admit the nut brittle cake makes my teeth ache even at thinking of it, haha!

A big day & celebration for Hungary! These cakes are so beautiful, especially if they’re amateur-made. I have to agree with you that the Honey-Nut Brittle may be a touch too sweet for me. Doesn’t mean I’d pass up a taste, though. You know, just a sliver. 😉
Sure just a pinch here and another pinch there and now that we are here why not finish the whole slice? : D
Rasberry Miracle tested and approved by me and the Mr as sugar-free cake of the year 🙂 Delicious and zesty with lots of apples!
