Spanish Tapas Dinner At Home!

Well we do this every now and then at home, as we don’t really have something like a ‘favourite tapas place’ here in Hungary. For the real deal, we go to Barcelona, however as unfortunately we do not have a magical Spanish carpet that would fly us over there every time we desire a good variation of tapas, we just pick some of our favourites and make them ourselves.
This time we made:
Oven baked green bell peppers: slice 2 green peppers, place them on a baking tray. Sprinkle with salt and olive oil, pop into preheated oven (200°C/390°F) and bake until the skin starts to turn brown (don’t burn them 🙂 )
Egg spread: cook 3-4 eggs, mash with a fork and add salt, pepper, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp mustard and 1 tbsp mayonnaise. Mix until well incorporated and creamy.
Tomato salad: thinly slice 1-2 tomatoes, sprinkle with olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano.
We also had mixed cold cuts from Spain, olives, pickles and potato chips for a nice dinner treat.

I love tapas! How fun!!
¡Ole! 😀
I love tapas! We are so lucky to have a fantastic place a couple towns over. Haven’t been there for a while but you’ve reminded me that I’d better get over there so they don’t forget me.
Time to go then 😉 And try out something new, we only live once?!
Very nice!
Thank you!! I must prepare some calamari rings the next time because that is my all time favourite, yum!
I love throwing a tapas dinner party, the variety if flavours is awesome and I just love the fact that you can nibble for hours.
I agree! However, with the speed we are eating here, it is more like minutes, haha!
