Bella Italia Foodie Adventures: Pasta con Tonno e Salsa di Pomodoro

An express recipe for busy days from our busy Italian holiday!

I mean…who wants to spend the summer holidays standing in the kitchen by the fire, am I right? So grab and cook 2 portions of fresh Italian pasta, make a simple creamy sauce by mixing and cooking 1.5-2 cups of tomato sauce  with a can of tuna fish, pour the sauce on the pasta, and devour with pride the delicious meal you cooked from 3 ingredients satisfying 2 empty stomachs.

Most importantly, enjoy the time you saved with your family and friends – or in the company of a glass of tangy red wine!

Of course you can add more ingredients (olives, capers, anchovies etc) to your liking. This dish was born this way as we had only these few ingredients at hand – however due to their quality (we were in Pasta land after all :D) they made this simple dish an outstanding one.

Enjoy 🙂

  1. Got to love express! I just sat down after a couple hours of making sauce & meatballs. The sauce I don’t mind so much, but geez rolling those meatball into perfect little orbs…boring.
